Tombstone!The most famous Western town in the world!! I moved back here in 2008, and lived on Allen Street for two years. Tombstone is actually defined by a single event. The Gunfight at the OK Corral. It happened on Oct. 26, 1881 and is still argued about (Who was right? Who was wrong?) and re-enacted every day. Here is a page on that, called "The Main Event." My first impressions of Tombstone are here in my Arizona Chronicles. Those impressions are the nucleus of this website. Twos years ago, the Marshal arrested the actors who "walk down" Allen Street to the Corral every day and made them quit. Here is an interview with my friend Stephen Keith, who plays Doc Holliday in the reenactment. He was charged with breaking the law, but they threw it out of court. The Tombstone Chamber of Commerce has a website here, with a lot of great pictures. (A lot of my friends, too!!!)
